Nancy O'Dell's career in broadcasting began as a reporter and anchor for WPDE-TV Myrtle beach, South Carolina. Later, she worked at WCBD as a morning anchor and crime reporter. The articles written by O'Dell in Charleston on how Charleston police handled DUI cases with care, led to an inquiry by State Law Enforcement Division. This investigation led to a more strict direction for state officials. Ms. O'Dell won her Best Report of the Award from the Associated Press for South Carolina's media. After her time in Charleston O'Dell was a anchor and investigative reporter at the NBC Miami station WTVJ-TV before joining Access Hollywood as a weekend anchor and a weekday reporter. In addition to her current role as anchor on Access Hollywood Ms. O'Dell is also an anchor for NBC News' Today and in addition to Dateline NBC. She has covered major events like The Oscars, The Emmys, The Grammys, and The Golden Globe Awards. As well as co-hosting the Pre Show Arrivals for The Emmys & The Golden Globes.
