Mena Alexa Suvari was born on the 29th of September, 1979. She is a famous American model, fashion designer and actress. Shortly after beginning her career as an actress Mena Alexandra Svari was a regular in guest roles for 1990s TV shows Boy Meets World and High Incident. The film debut came in 1997's drama Nowhere. With her performances as a character in American Beauty - for which she was nominated to receive the BAFTA Award - and American Pie that earned much attention and recognition, she was able to move into larger roles. The next time she appeared was in Loser (2000), with American Pie actor Jason Biggs. Later she played the role of the title role in Sugar & Spice (2002). She had appearances in the 2002 independent drama Spun and the 2004 thriller feature Trauma. In addition, she was a part of HBO's drama series Six Feet Under in 2004 she was nominated as an Best Cast of the 2005 Screen Actors Guild Awards. In 2008, she was included in a variety of films, like Day of the Dead The Mysteries of Pittsburgh as well as the adaptation film to The Garden of Eden. Suvari has been a model on behalf of Lancome Paris Adaptive, and she's also been featured in a variety of blogs and magazines like Vogue. She has been a strong supporter and campaigner for the African Medical and Research Foundation.
